Actor training can be life enhancing. In this class, advanced students are guided to discover, explore and develop their emotional, physical and psychological resources using varied acting exercises and techniques. Prerequisite: Acting II (MCTC) or equivalent (Screenwriting students exempt from prerequisites).

D. Learning Outcomes (General)
  1. Construct logical, organic and coherent acting exercises.
  2. Employ theories and usage appropriate to acting and the playwright┬┐s world.
  3. Participate effectively in acting exercises and play analysis with an emphasis on listening, critical and reflective thinking, and responding.
  4. Select appropriate communication choices for specific exercises.
  5. Understand and analyze the acting processes and methods through investigation, exploration, crafting, revision and presentation of acting exercises.
  6. Use authority, point-of-view, and individual voice and style in the exploration of character and scene analysis.
