First Steps to Orientation

Complete the following steps to register for the Online Orientation:

Step 1: Activate your NetDirect Account

You will need your eight-digit Tech ID number (located in the upper right hand corner of your acceptance letter) and your Personal Identification Number (PIN).

NetDirect is your personal access point to Metropolitan State University's tools, resources and support services. Activating your account will:

  • Create your NetDirect portal login
  • Create your University email account which allows you to receive official University communications

Step 2: Complete the Diagnostic Assessments

If you are required to complete a diagnostic assessment, it will be indicated in your initial letter of acceptance to the University.

If you are unable to come to campus, you may make arrangements for completing the diagnostic assessments at a proctored site. If you are required to complete assessments, you must do so before you can proceed with orientation or register.

Step 3: Choose your New Student Orientation option

Option 1: Online Orientation
