Human Services Club

Human Services Club Purpose statement (description of group): To support students in deepening their understanding of Human Services as a discipline and profession.

Example of Human Services Club Activity:

Human Services Club Speakers Panel held February 10, 2007

Seven speakers from the Metropolitan State University Human Services Department faculty discussed "Trends in the Human Services Industry" on February 10th at the Metropolitan State University Library's Ecolab to students interested in the human services. The panel covered the following: Administration, Community Violence Prevention, Drug and Alcohol, Public Policy, Social case work, Disability Studies, and Gerontology. The information that these speakers gave was invaluable because all had a common denominator -- human services.
