| About the Center for Teaching and Learning |
The Center for Teaching and Learning hosts community faculty orientations, the Fall and Spring Faculty Conferences and ongoing workshops and seminars throughout the academic year on such topics as instructional technology, syllabus design, multicultural education, creative learning strategies, distance education, assessment, instructional improvement and resources for lifelong learning and current issues in teaching. In addition, the CTL publishes the Faculty Updates and provides resources to interested faculty, such as books, journals, newspapers and Web sites about the good, the new and the possible in college teaching, especially teaching as it relates to nontraditional students. As the demand for the CTL programs grows, Metropolitan State invites interested faculty from other institutions to join us in our quest to continually develop and improve teaching.
