Aviation Management B.A.
This individualized bachelor's degree with a focus in aviation management is offered by a consortium of four state universities: Metropolitan State University, Minnesota State University-Mankato (MSU), Saint Cloud State University (SCSU) and Winona State University (WSU). Students complete Metropolitan State general education and liberal studies (GELS) requirements, and all aviation core and elective courses from the four consortium schools.
Students may receive up to 20 elective credits for their Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) pilot, flight instructor, air traffic controller, dispatcher, and airframe and power plant mechanic certificates if these certificates were not earned through a post-secondary program. Up to 40 credits may be awarded in transfer to graduates of two-year technical college programs and other qualified technical programs. Aviation classes are offered in various Twin Cities locations. These courses are open to students enrolled in the Aviation Management program, as well as to other students who have a substantial aviation background and who obtain permission from the First College program coordinator.
