In the first years of the University's participation in AQIP, Action Projects served to focus our efforts on continuous improvement, build systems and structures to oversee quality projects, and provided early success in improving processes and systems. As the University continues its participation, Action Projects serve four additional functions:
- provide and communicate a shared sense of activity, movement, and purpose;
- establish and provide information for the Systems Portfolio;
- build experience in and commitment to working collaboratively to improve University systems; and
- provide a process to move from planning for continuous improvement to taking action.
The Continuous Improvement Coordinating Team (CICT) will be soliciting proposals for future Action Projects.
