Establish a base of active alumni who can help with various fund-raising activities to maximize contributions. Draw on the experience of fellow alumni, department heads, students and teachers to gather and coordinate a wide range of ideas into goals and objectives in the future. Work with the Foundation, the development director and the alumni relations and annual giving coordinator to ensure sufficient and well managed resources to support and advance the Metropolitan State University's mission.
The Communication Committee's mission is to serve fellow alums by connecting with them and keeping them informed on current events at the university. This will be accomplished by various means. The main focus to be used is outlined below. These are not meant to be all-inclusive, but are the stepping stones on which the Association will build its foundation.
The Alumni Events Committee's overall goal is to support Metropolitan State University alumni by identifying and holding events that connect the 27,000 plus alumni to the university, encouraging alumni participation in event planning and execution, as well as in gift-giving to the university.
