The Environmental Education and Community Action program includes a series of environmental activities developed to provide opportunities for elementary student's education and involvement in local environmental initiatives. University students, elementary students, family members and community members have the opportunity to be involved with ongoing environmental activities including urban community gardens, school ground plantings and community clean-up days. Additional partners include the Community Design Center of Minnesota and the Dayton's Bluff District Council.

env 03University student opportunities are available through individual internships at Community Design Center of Minnesota or approved community-based or service learning coursework. Environmental Action Team meetings take place throughout the year to develop and implement spring activities for National Youth Service Day (April), Earth Day (May) and other school & neighborhood events.
