Learn about free community services offered to families and college-bound students. Free tax fair and FAFSA Workshops are also available. Open to the public.

College for Kids is a chance for local fourth, fifth, and sixth graders to experience a college environment and dream about the future. The forum will include balaced presentations and discussions concerning the upcoming November vote on the Minnesota Same-Sex Marriage Amendment which will appear on the November 2012 ballot as a legislatively-referred constitutional amendment.

3/26: Multicultural Achievers Computer Class
The YMCA Multicultural Achievers is a High School and Junior High School program that helps African American, Hispanic and Latino students set and obtain high educational and career goals. Students participate in team building, leadership skill development, and increasing academic achievement. Youth focus on goal setting, preparing for High School, exploring post secondary options, college tours, and cultural enrichment to assist in preparation for after high school and success in their secondary program.

3/30: Farnsworth Aerospace Magnet School Gordon Parks Workshop
The CCBL and Gordon Parks Gallery Director worked with In Progress, a local non-profit with a mission to diversify cultural dialogue and pave the way for new voices in the field of digital media, created Gordon Parks workshop curriculum to educate young people on Gordon Parks' life and work. Students participate in hands-on activities with local artists including digital photography and Photoshop enhancement, bookmaking and painting through which they can gain inspiration to explore the arts and envision diverse and positive means of expression and community engagement.

Graduates students that are currently in 6th-8th grade have the opportunity to participate in a one week program that focuses on career and educational options and as well as fun interactive classes! Students also participate in off campus service-learning projects and field trips. All classes and workshops provide university students with teaching and teaching assistant opportunities.
