With appropriate planning, students can graduate in four years. In addition to the CIS major requirements, all students must complete the university’s General Education and Liberal Studies (GELS) requirements (48 credits).

The following table is the recommended sequence for taking classes required by the major. While alternative schedules are possible, students must take care not to take too many ICS courses in a single semester as many of them can be quite time-consuming.

We recommend that students meet with their advisor very early upon admission to chalk out their studies. Any changes that may become necessary should be approved by the advisor.
