The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has awarded Mary Riebe the Minnesota Women in Business Advocate Award 2004

Mary Riebe, Ph.D., Director of the Center for Women Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurship Education at Metropolitan State University’s College of Management, has been selected to receive the Minnesota Women in Business Advocate Award for 2004 from the United States Small Business Administration (SBA), Minnesota. In his letter, the SBA district director Edward A. Daum said, “We are delighted to see your accomplishments as a small business advocate recognized by your friends, peers and the business organizations which you have served. Your professional and personal service to your community has earned our admiration, and you are most deserving of this recognition.”

Mary Riebe has been named one of the 25 Women to Watch in the Twin Cities by The Business Journal

Dr. Mary Riebe, Director of the Center for Women Entrepreneurs and Entrepreneurship Education, has been named one of the 25 Women to Watch in the Twin Cities by The Business Journal. She was selected because of her professional achievements, leadership qualities and her drive and potential to be in the spotlight for years to come. Mary Riebe was profiled in The Business Journal’s Women in Business special publication in the July 25th edition.

The Minnesota Research Advocate Award for 2003


U. S. Small Business Administration (SBA) has selected Mary Riebe, Director of the Center for Women Entrepreneurs at Metropolitan State University, to receive the Minnesota Research Advocate Award for 2003. An awards luncheon took place at the Four Points Hotel, 1330 Industrial Boulevard, Minneapolis, MN on May 2nd 2003. The award is based upon accomplishments as a small business advocate and recognition from friends, peers, and the business organizations which she has served.

The Luminary Award


The National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO) Minnesota Chapter, has awarded Mary Riebe, Director of the Center for Women Entrepreneurs, Metropolitan State University, the Luminary Award for "lighting the path for other women business owners."
The award was presented Thursday, April 10, Minneapolis Hilton, 11:30 at their annual luncheon. The Minnesota NAWBO Chapter is the largest in the country with over 350 business owners.
