Welcome to the College of Management's (COM) Web pages. As you review the materials on these pages, you will get a sense of the very dynamic and exciting environment we have created. We are a college with nine Bachelor of Science degrees, seven Bachelor of Applied Science degrees, three Masters degree programs and two Masters certificates. We offer the benefits of attending a large university but with the personal touch of a small college. We serve almost 5,000 students a year, but keep our class sizes small: an average of 22 students per section. This small class size leads to a highly interactive and personal learning environment that is difficult to match.
Our faculty is among the finest in the area, possessing both advanced degrees that provide theoretical knowledge plus experience in their fields. This combination lets them take the theory and apply it to practical situations in the "real world." Because many of our faculty are from leading companies in the Twin Cities, our students receive a cutting edge education. The quality of our programs is top notch. Our students are employed by the top businesses, governmental units and non-profits in the area. Many go on to graduate schools at prestigious universities. We were recently recognized for our quality programs with a nearly $5 million grant to develop a Center of Excellence in Information Security and Technology.
We teach our undergraduate programs at over 11 sites throughout the metropolitan area, usually on a one-night-a-week basis. Our day program at the Midway site offers a two-day per week traditional approach. If these formats don't fit your busy lifestyle, we have several online programs including undergraduate majors in Management, Marketing, Business Administration and Human Resource Management and our three masters programs. There are also web-enhanced/reduced seat time courses and independent studies.
Our aim in the College of Management is to help you become better business practitioners and managers. To this end we have a very capable staff of faculty, advisors, and support people who are ready to assist you. The names of contact people are identified throughout the Web pages. Please let us know how we can help you achieve your educational goals. Contact the General Information Desk at 612-659-7250 if you have any questions.
High quality instruction - flexible delivery options - and the lowest tuition for upper division credits in the state - what a tremendous value!
