Our BS programs can prepare you for careers in a wide variety of business areas. The Business Administration major, our most general program, can be adapted to your interests and is perfect for a student who wants to be able to move into a variety of different business settings. Majors in Accounting, Finance, Human Resource Management, Management, Management Information Systems, and Marketing provide strong preparation for careers in specific functional areas of business. The International Business program provides a general business preparation with a focus on international aspects of business. The Economics major offers both a Business Economics track and a more traditional Economics track, for students planning to go on the graduate-level study in Economics. Our Accounting, Management Information Systems, and Business Administration majors are among the largest programs in the state.
All of our programs feature flexible course offerings, with courses taught evenings, days, Saturdays, and online. The Business Administration, Management, Marketing, Human Resource Management, and Finance majors can also be completed entirely through online courses. All of our programs, whether taught in the classroom or online, combine practice with theory to bring you the best in business and management education.
The BS programs are all built around a set of Foundation and Business Core courses that vary only slightly from one major to the next. The Foundation courses are freshman and sophomore level courses designed to build the skills needed to succeed in business courses and used regularly on the job. The Foundation courses must all be completed (with S or C- or better grades) before a student can be admitted to the major.
The Business Core courses are upper-division courses that help you develop the breadth of knowledge of functional areas within business that you need to work effectively as a business professional. Additional required and elective courses in each major provide more specialization and depth within the major field.
Our faculty and professional advisors look forward to working with you to achieve your educational goals.
