Students need 120 credits to achieve a degree, 40 of which must be upper-division; minimum 30 credits from Metropolitan State University; 20 credits must be taken through First College including these two required courses (8 credits):

  1. Prsp 301 Perspectives must be completed with an approved degree plan by 2nd semester of enrollment in First College.
  2. Prsp 499 Capstone must be taken during the last semester before graduation.

You may be able to transfer up to 48 credits to satisfy the GELS requirements (General Education + Liberal Studies = GELS or: 10 Goals + Liberal Studies).

Your Individualized Degree Focus must be 32-48 credits. You will develop your Focus while taking Prsp 301.
