Welcome to Metropolitan State University's School of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice, offering educational programs for students interested in criminal justice careers and practitioners looking to enhance their potential for professional advancement.
The school's law enforcement and criminal justice programs blend solid academic and professional education with the broad perspectives of the liberal arts.
More than ever, today's criminal justice agencies require leadership from professionals who are analytically sophisticated, conceptually strong, skilled in technical, written and oral communication and able to assess current and future needs and trends in the field. Students in our law enforcement and criminal justice majors are actively engaged in pursuing answers in an academic forum to the many complex questions surrounding the crime problem. This process is facilitated by faculty who bring strong academic and professional experience into the classroom.
In addition to undergraduate, graduate and certificate programs, the school offers a variety of programs and services designed to assist students in achieving their academic and professional goals. These include academic and career advising, professional mentoring and community internship programs, and a Center for Applied Research and Policy Analysis.
The future of public safety and criminal justice depends, in large part, on the students enrolled in today's law enforcement and criminal justice programs. On behalf of the faculty, I thank you for your interest in the school and pledge our dedication to providing the best preparation possible for today's challenging criminal justice careers.
