NOTE: Prospective students should NOT make application to Metropolitan State University and register for classes until AFTER they have been admitted to the certificate program.

The Minnesota Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Board Coordinates a system of licensing for all peace officers in the state. Any person employed as a peace officer must hold a POST Board license. In order to be licensed by the POST Board, prospective peace officers must pass certain selection criteria and meet specific education requirements.
