Metropolitan State University provides three distinct programs to improve the access, retention and graduation of targeted students. Our commitment is to improve academic success and college confidence.
TRIO: Upward Bound - a federally-funded program (U.S. Department of Education) which serves first-generation and limited income high school students at Arlington High School. Our commitment is to improve academic success and college confidence for high school students to gain preparedness and access to college.
Power of YOU (Bridge-Scholars) - a state and foundation-funded program, which provides financial and academic enhancement support for students transferring to Metropolitan State University from St. Paul College or MCTC Power of YOU programs.
TRiO:Student Support Services - a federally-funded program (U.S. Department of Education) which serves first-generation, limited income and students with disabilities who are enrolled at Metropolitan State University as degree-seeking undergraduate students. Our commitment is to improve the retention and graduation through structured and enhanced academic support.
