General Financial Aid Information Links

FAFSA on the web

This site allows you to complete the FAFSA and submit it for processing on-line.

PIN Registration
www.pin.ed.gov

The PIN serves as your identifier to let you access your personal information in various U.S. Department of Education systems. It's like the Personal Identification Number that you get from your bank that enables you to access your account. You can request a PIN and change your PIN on this site.

Selective Service Verification
http://www.sss.gov

Most male students must register with Selective Service to receive federal aid. If you have received a letter from Metropolitan State's Office of Student Financial Aid requesting proof of Selective Service registration, this means that the US Department of Education could not verify that you have registered. Please download the "Request for Status Information Letter" below and send it to the address listed in Section 3. You will receive a letter from Selective Service in 4-6 weeks.

Please submit a copy of this letter to the Office of Student Financial Aid, and we will be able to continue to process your financial aid application.

The College Board site provides students and parents with a money planner, college savings advisor and can help families compute an estimated family contribution.

Loan Counseling with Great Lakes FASTFacts
