Master Promissory Note (MPN)
Your financial aid award letter indicates the maximum amount and type of Stafford Loan you are eligible to borrow. You may borrow less than the amount indicated on your award letter. Before borrowing, feel free to use the Loan Calculator to estimate your monthly payments to help determine how much you can manageably repay after graduation.
To complete the Electronic MPN you will need the following:
- Personal Identification Number (PIN) given to you by the Department of Education when you applied for Financial Aid. If you do not have your PIN you can go to www.pin.ed.gov to request your PIN
- Social Security Number and Date of Birth
- Drivers License Number
- 2 complete references (including address and phone number)
