The Pathways Program is designed to help students navigate through the sometimes confusing and often overwhelming process of career planning. By participating in this program students will explore career options in the insurance and financial services (IFS) industry and other corporate environments while gaining the skills needed for a successful job search and lifelong career management.
Pathways Program General Information
The Pathways Program is for students majoring in any of the following areas of study:
All majors within the College of Management
All majors within the Department of Information & Computer Sciences
Individualized Studies with a focus in business, communications, management, math, finance, or human resources
Technical Communication and Professional Writing
Students will develop a clear plan of how to find a career within their chosen field and graduate with the tools they need to perform a successful job search.
Pathways Program Outline
Step 1. Schedule an appointment with a Pathways Program counselor by calling the Career Development Center - 651-793-1528. During this appointment, you will enroll in the free Pathways Program D2L course and develop an individualized career steps plan with your counselor.
Step 2. Login to the Pathways Program D2L course and attend Pathways Program Open Lab Sessions. There is no requirement for how many open lab sessions you need to attend. It all depends on your needs and your schedule. You choose the pace that's right for you.

Step 3. Schedule a final meeting with a Pathways Program counselor to celebrate your progress and complete the program.
