You need to complete any required diagnostic assessments before attending on-campus orientation as you will be able to register for classes at orientation. Students who have received an admission letter/acceptance packet can call 651- 793-1234 to register for one of the upcoming on-campus orientation sessions listed below:

NOTE: College of Nursing and Health Sciences (CNHS) students may not attend the 11/21 or 12/05 sessions as there will be no representatives available those days from CNHS.
To get registered for on-campus orientation:
1) First activate your NetDirect Account and complete any required Diagnostic Assessments. Activating your NetDirect Account also creates your University email account.
2) Call Gateway Student Services during student service hours at 651-793-1234 to register for one of the above dates.
If you have received your transfer evaluation, called a Degree Audit Report (DARS), please bring it to the orientation session. However, you do not need to wait until you receive this information before attending an on-campus orientation session.
On-campus orientation will introduce you to the following services and resources:
- academic support systems
- GELS (general education/ liberal studies) requirements
- creative learning strategies
- counseling and career services
- advising and student services
- library services
- Center for Academic Excellence (Tutoring & Testing)
- student policies, including academic progress
- registration information
In addition, you will attend a one hour meeting with your college advising staff to receive program major, minor information and help with registration questions. For on-campus orientations held during the registration periods, Gateway Student Services and the Bookstore will both be open. During all sessions, Financial Aid, Financial Management and the Admissions offices will all be open. Before and during orientation, information tables will be staffed by representatives from various student support services offices.
Students will be billed a $10 nonrefundable fee when registering for on-campus orientation.
