If you have attended another institution during your time at Metropolitan State University or if you had in progress (IP) grades at the time you were initially admitted, you will need to request a transfer update in order for the new transfer work to be evaluated and appear on your Interactive Degree Audit / DARS report or GELS Worksheet (students admitted before fall 2006). The method you must use to request a transfer update will vary depending on the type of institution attended.
Transfer Update Requests:
Should not be made until the transfer work has been graded
Are processed in the order received
May take approximately 2-3 months to process and for updated transfer coursework to be reflected on your Interactive Degree Audit / DARS report due to the high volume of requests
An e-mail notification is sent to your Metropolitan State student email account when your Transfer Update Request has been processed.
What type of institution do you need updated?
Electronic Transcript / E-transcript allows for MnSCU institutions to easily retrieve official transcripts. There is no cost to you--simply complete the form below to request a transfer update.
Please read before submitting a request: E-transcripts cannot be accessed from MnSCU institutions where you have a hold on your academic record. Please log into Student E-Services and verify that there are no holds on your academic record at the transfer institution before submitting a Transfer Update Request. If a hold exists, please contact the transfer institution directly to resolve the hold and then submit the form below. Your request will not be processed if holds exist.
Transfer update requests should be made AFTER final grades are posted at the transfer institution.
If the institution you attended was not a MnSCU institution, you will have to contact the institution directly to request that an official transcript be sent to:
