Writing consultants are on hand during drop in hours and by appointment. We offer support and guidance on all stages of the writing process:
- Understanding the assignment
- Generating and organizing ideas
- Revising drafts
- Assisting with grammar and punctuation
- Reviewing source documentation

- Students in undergraduate and graduate programs
- Students needing help getting started on papers
- Students returning to college after an absence
- Students lacking confidence in their writing ability

How Can the Writing Center Help?
Consultants in the Writing Center offer individualized help to Metropolitan State students. Students may bring:
- Academic papers in fields such as psychology, literature, nursing, DMIS, or law enforcement.
- Writing projects for job searches, scholarships, or graduate school applications.
- Creative projects such as personal essays, poems, or stories.
