Event Parking: Beginning May 6, 2014 through July 2015 the University will have very limited parking on the campus due to the closure of the main parking lot for the Ramp and Student Center construction projects. As previously noted, the First Lutheran Church lot is reserved for students who are enrolled in academic courses and other limited parking areas are reserved for staff and faculty.

All internal, external, co-sponsored, and student events will need to coordinate their own alternative parking arrangements. Any costs incurred via alternative transportation will be at the expense of the department hosting the event, co-sponsor if designated, or external parties. These charges will be directly between you and the parking/shuttling vendor.

As the University is using Union Depot and Lorenz Shuttle for student/employee parking and shuttling services, we have provided their contact information for your convenience below: *Note: you are not limited to using these vendors.

Union Depot - Events will be charged $3 per vehicle. Inform the Union Depot how many participants are believed to be in attendance; they will issue validation tickets to the shuttle driver. Only the tickets used will be charged back to the event. A sign with the name of the event should be placed in the bus window.

Lorenz Bus Service - A minimum charge of four hours is required for rental. The 20 passenger shuttles are $45.00 per hour and the 29 passenger shuttles are $65.00 per hour. 

We will be glad to assist you in making contacts with the vendors.

Location: Metropolitan State University's Saint Paul Campus. Located on the east side of Saint Paul off I-94 overlooking the city skyline.

Evening Elegance Package
Includes set up, janitorial services and security for a five hour event in the New Main, Great Hall. The event would begin at 7 p.m. and end at midnight.

Cost: *$1,085 for Saturday evening. Catering is not included.

*There is a two hour minimum on all space use. Other charges may apply based upon your event needs.
