Starting July 1, 2010, the process for creating, updating, and deleting System Administration security access (“ISRS” Uniface and Web applications) will be paperless due to Web online processing. To request or delete a System Administration account, complete the form "Request for MnSCU Systems User ID". Send form to the IT Desk for processing. IT Desk will need to add/remove the ISRS icon for student worker and non-Metro accounts.
Upon completing the form above, new users obtaining ISRS accounts will get their username and password via e-mail. Each new system user will first need to login to ISRS prior to requesting their security role (Web application) or security group access (ISRS Uniface) with the help of their supervisor. The appropriate approval manager receives notification and approves/denies security rights requests. The new user will be notified regarding the decision made.
After logging into ISRS, to request security, go to https://admin.mnscu.edu/employeehome/, click on "Security Administration", and log in to the Security Admin system using the same Tech ID and password as the e-Timesheet and MnSCU e-Services. The default password is your birth date in YYMMDD format, but you might have had to change it. Once you have logged in, note the "Uniface" or "Web" link under the Dashboard menu in the left-hand margin.
To view your security roles in the Security Rights menu, select "Web" and click on “My Web Roles.” To request additional security roles, select the "Request Web Roles" button and the desired security roles.
To view your security group access in Security Rights menu, select "Uniface" and click on “My Uniface Accounts.” To request access to a new security group, click on the "Request Uniface Groups" button and the desired group.
As noted, the appropriate approval manager will be notified of your request for additional security roles (Web) or groups (Uniface) and will approve or deny your security request. You will receive an email notifying whether access is either granted or denied.
To see the list of approval managers, click on either Uniface or Web under Approval Managers menu. Select the module you are interested in, then click on the right-facing arrow to see the approval manager(s) for that function.
Metropolitan State’s Institution Security Manager is Murtuza Siddiqui, Vice President of Administration/CFO. He manages the approval managers and assigns them their roles.

(Operational Data Security Request Form)
Complete user information on each page and forms to the Authorized Signer in Registration. The Authorized Signer will authorize and send forms to the IT Desk for processing.
Directions for filling out Operational Data Security form: Page 1
1. Check the following:
-Create New User Account
-As needed check Microsoft Access (for ad hoc reports and Switchboard)
-As needed check EPM-11
2. Enter all user contact information, then sign and date.
3. Check the following:
-Course Term / Curriculum CT_ L box and Add box
-Student Private data access ST_ L box and Add box
Note: If you need more access to other modules , contact IT Desk for directions and additional signatures required.
Important: Please state which CAP application you would like access to at the bottom of the page (for internal use only). IT needs to add user to group so that the application can be launched under Start, All Programs, CAP. Example applications include: CAP Switchboard, CAP Server, CAP DARS etc.

*Ad-hoc customized reports are created by power/experienced users who pull replicated data from ISRS using a database application such as Microsoft Access.
