Metropolitan State University student user accounts are created automatically by the University for newly admitted students, and returning students who do not currently have an active user account.
Newly Admitted Students
Your Metropolitan State user name and password will be sent from Admissions to your personal email address that you included with your application.
If you are a student who is returning to Metropolitan State University, and currently do not have an active user account:
- Your account will be created automatically when you register for a course at Metropolitan State University
- You will receive your user account information delivered to your personal email address on file with the University
- Due to the recent migration project, if you last took a course in Spring Semester, 2011 or earlier, you may receive a newly created user account
How Long Do I Need to Wait?
User accounts are automatically created. However, it may take up to three business days for your account information to reach you. Typically, account information is delivered by email between 24-72 hours.

Before you call: You may be asked to verfiy your identity. Please have your Tech ID available. The term "TechID" refers to the 8-digit number printed on the front of your Metropolitan State University ID card or included with your Admissions letter.
