Welcome to your home for testing services at Metropolitan State University.

Our mission is to provide make-up, independent study and waiver exam services to a diverse student, community and faculty population in a secure environment that ensures academic integrity.

We value professional and cordial service, draw on principles of universal design, and follow the best practices and guidelines of the National College Testing Association. The Academic Testing Center (ATC) is a member of the National College Testing Association (NCTA).

Our Services

The ATC provides a safe, secure environment for:

  • Metropolitan State students taking make-up exams for classroom-based, online and hybrid courses; independent study course exams; and waiver exams (see our Student Information Webpage for instructions).
  • Students taking make-up exams for courses from Non-Metropolitan State institutions within the Minnesota State system.

  • Students taking exams for courses taught at non-Minnesota State institutions. There is a $35 fee per exam, payable by check or money-order.

Accuplacer Exams are administered by Placement Assessment.

Accommodations for computerized exams are available at all proctoring locations. At this time we cannot proctor online exams that require lock-down browsers.
