The Center for Online Learning supports faculty in their development of courses and preparation for online and blended/hybrid environments.

Specifically, the Center for Online Learning offers support for the learning management system, the design of online courses, and the use of technology. Center for Online Learning graduate student workers and Instructional Technology Associates help faculty with uploading course content, creating discussion forums, and setting up assignment drop boxes and gradebooks. Site administrators coordinate the work and ensure that the course sites are set up and properly enrolled. The instructional designer helps faculty with best practices and professional development. The media specialist produces short videos. The instructional technologist helps faculty implement effective technology such as authoring tools, interoperable applications, digital resources and learning objects. The director supervises the Center for Online Learning staff and works with both the administration and faculty to provide university-wide leadership and advocacy for online and hybrid teaching and learning for a diverse student population, including nontraditional adult students.
