Audacity is a free, easy-to-use, multi-track audio editor and recorder for Windows, Mac OS X, GNU/Linux and other operating systems. The interface has been translated into many languages.
Recording - Audacity can record live audio through a microphone or mixer, or digitize recordings from cassette tapes, records or minidiscs. With some sound cards, and on any Windows Vista, Windows 7, 8 or 10 machine, Audacity can also capture streaming audio.
Import and Export - Import sound files, edit them, and combine them with other files or new recordings. Export your recordings in many different file formats, including multiple files at once. Alter frequencies with Equalization, Bass and Treble, High/Low Pass and Notch Filter effects. Adjust volume with Compressor, Amplify, Normalize, Fade In/Fade Out and Adjustable Fade effects.

Doceri is an iPad interactive whiteboard and screencast recorder with tools for hand-drawn graphics and built-in remote desktop control. A tablet version is available only on iPads, but a desktop version available for Windows and Mac users.
