At Metropolitan State University we encourage you to take advantage of our unique prior learning program.
How does it work? After you are admitted to the major completion program, an advisor from the School of Law Enforcement and Criminal Justice will review your continuing education records. Your advisor will help you create a plan that will incorporate your training, organize your experience, and demonstrate your knowledge in the academic area.
What kinds of continuing education can I use for prior learning? Below are some examples of law enforcement continuing education that many students have used to fulfill some of their major elective requirements:
Bureau of Criminal Apprehension (BCA) continuing education
Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Academy continuing educationInvestigation courses
