Dear colleagues:

I am pleased to share that Amy Dunn has been promoted to the position of vice president for Enrollment Management and Marketing.

Enrollment Management has become an essential function for the university, and having our chief enrollment management professional engaged in strategic conversations at the executive level is a necessity. Amy has done a superb job of developing and implementing enrollment plans and strategies that have allowed the university to maintain and slightly grow enrollment at a time when higher education enrollments have been declining significantly across the state.

Amy joined Metropolitan State in September 2013 in the role of associate vice president for Enrollment Management.  Since that time she has overseen Admissions, Gateway Services, and the Registrar's Office. In 2014, her portfolio was expanded to include overseeing community college partnership liaison and operations support and graduate admissions. In 2016, Marketing and Communications Services were added to her purview, to heighten the link between admissions and marketing. Also in 2016, Amy helped to launch the Strategic Enrollment Management Council, which focuses on both supporting and increasing the recruitment of new students and identifying proven strategies for retaining students and enabling their successful completion of degrees. Under her leadership, the university has made numerous process improvements in students pathway from admission to graduation.  She will oversee a rebranding study for the university during the current academic year.

Amy has a bachelor of arts degree in criminal justice and sociology with a minor in psychology from Mount Mercy University, a master of arts degree in adult education from University of Phoenix. She is currently pursuing a doctor of education in leadership degree from St. Mary's University of Minnesota.

Please join me in congratulating Amy.

Sincerely,

President Virginia "Ginny" Arthur, JD
