Major job duties

Assist with organizing student activities pertaining to National American Indian month (November), Minnesota Indian Month (May), American Indian Graduation Banquet (May), and Indigenous Peoples’ Day (October). Assist with communication to students regarding deadlines, current events, new alerts, and other pertinent information via social media. Help with general office management including filing, helping with phones, greeting students to the space(s).

Qualifications and experience

Proficient with Microsoft programs. Adept at creating flyers, working with social media advertising, and other marketing strategies. Effective written and oral communication skills including professional communications using email, telephone, and personal interactions. Knowledgeable of the American Indian community including programs, non-profit organizations, networking, educational and scholarship programs.
