Major job duties

  • Ability to represent the university and department in a front office capacity.
  • Ability to learn and understand the policies and procedures of the Institute for Community Engagement and Scholarship (ICES) well enough to independently carry out duties.
  • Ability to work with Metro State students, staff, faculty, and community members professionally and with tact, independently or with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to learn and make efficient use of computer programs, office equipment, and phone systems.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office products including Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Publisher.
  • Ability to compose electronic messages and written memos professionally and proficiently, for internal and external audiences.
  • Ability to understand and carry out oral and written directions.
  • Must have excellent interpersonal and customer service skills and use discretion while assisting students with questions and concerns.
  • Must have strong organization skills and attention to detail.
