Major job duties

Research and improve alumni database for the College of Community Studies and Public Affairs.   

  • Organize a subset of 6,500 alums and additional CCSPA donor prospects in excel database and 

  • Find update information on alumni and donor prospects with phone, address, email, profession and charitable giving

  • Make phone calls to alumni and donor prospects seeking additional information

  • Prepare and mail a solicitation letter based on the results of the research into the lists.

  • Uncover new prospects for the Dean to visit with.

Qualifications and experience

Work Schedule: Flexible: Mon – Fri / 8 A.M. – 7 P.M, At the Midway Campus, Hours Per week: 10-20

  • Good working knowledge of business and office practices.
  • Good written, verbal and interpersonal relations skills.
  • Good customer and organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Word, Excel, P.P. etc.).
  • Reliable, responsible and flexible.
  • Attention to detail, accurate and able to work with sensitive and confidential information.
  • Ability to be able to problem solve.
  • Ability to file and retrieve records.
  • Show initiative, ability to work independently and on a team.
  • Ability to work with moderate supervision.

Note: This position will office in the Public and Non-Profit Leadership suite on the Midway campus.
