    $10.85 starting wage, then $11.25 after 1,000 hours worked at this level

Major job duties

Primary Responsibilities:

Provide co-coordination of the Youth Campus Visits, engage faculty, university student, and community partners in the collaboration of workshop development and support. Participate in Student Organization meetings to present and share with fellow students about the Youth Outreach Programs for recruitment proposes.

  • Schedule meetings with university staff, faculty and community members to plan and coordinate workshops.
  • Incorporate the Gordon Parks Gallery to the Youth Campus Visits.
  • Meet regularly with the ICES Youth Campus team members and also assist with the logistical needs of the Youth Programs. 
  • Work closely with CTEP AmeriCorps Member develop technology related workshops for both community members or youth campus visits.

Qualifications and experience

Job Qualifications:

·         Experience working with youth or youth programs preferred.

·         Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision.

·         Ability to provide leadership to college students.

·         Excellent oral and written communication skills.

·         Strong organizational skills.

·         Willingness to develop a full understanding of the ICES, university and St. Paul Public Library Outreach programs.

·         Ability to enforce standards and related university policies, and to react quickly in emergency situations.

·         Ability to create and maintain computerized records.
