Job Description
Coordinate the day-to-day operations of the Student Parent Center and the Food for Thought Food Pantry. Due to the pandemic, this position will require the ability to work both remotely and on-campus. Duties include, but are not limited to:
· Providing front desk/reception assistance including: filing, answering phones and other phone communication, greeting students and other visitors to the space(s) and directing them as needed, assist with check-in and check-out and intake process, copying, faxing, mailings and more
· Updating resource information, brochures, newsletters, and social media accounts
· Assist with programming efforts related to the Student Parent Center and the Food for Thought Pantry
· Maintain a safe and healthy environment by ensuring that the space in the Food Pantry and Student Parent Center are clean and organized
· Organize and stock the food pantry and make sure that items follow food safety regulations
· Help with food pantry delivery
· Aid with special projects and tasks
Other duties as assigned as needed
Qualifications and experience
Currently considering Undergraduate students only:
· Effective written and oral communication skills including professional communications using email, telephone, and personal interactions
· Experience working in a diverse and inclusive environment
· Proficient with Microsoft programs - preparing correspondence, marketing materials, newsletters, data entry, etc.
· General familiarity with office equipment
· Comfortable conducting research and outreach
· Ability to work independently and/or as a team member
· Ability to maintain confidentiality
· Dependable and organized
· Have some knowledge or experience in the field of human services and or providing support to individuals facing barriers to their basic-needs
Able to lift up to 25 pounds
