Major job duties
- Support and document university engagement in 2022 mid-term elections;
- Coordinate, where appropriate, training and placement of students to provide voter education and mobilization through class visits and outreach;
- Develop targeted communications campaign/strategies (using data and past experiences) to increase voter awareness and participation;
- Plan joint activities with Metro State University Student Association (Senate Senate), student clubs, external partners, local campaign and national events like Voter Registration Day, Constitution Day, etc.
Qualifications and experience
- Fully admitted and continuously enrolled in Metro State graduate program
- Project management and coordination experience
- Experience with or knowledge of civic and voter engagement strategies, community organizing, and/or political campaigns;
- Ability to coordinate efforts with university and external organizations;
- Ability to motivate others and execute work with minimal supervision;
- Excellent written/verbal communication skills for diverse audiences.
