NURS 602 Ethical Dimensions for Advanced Nursing Practice

This course focuses on the theory and skills that prepare nurses to be competent leaders in ethical decision-making. Content includes clarification of values, analysis of ethical dilemmas, ethical decision making, and application of ethical standards including interprofessional considerations. Students examine ethical dimensions related to advanced nursing practice. Competence Statement: Knows ethical theories and principles well enough to assume leadership in developing a plan of action to manage ethical dilemmas in advanced nursing practice.
