This course may be taken any number of times for credit as long as the topic is different. Depending on the topic offered, this class may count as a major requirement course; otherwise, it is considered an elective.
Learning outcomes
General
- Demonstration of advanced knowledge of the topic for the course through reading, writing and discussion as well as a comprehensive final project and presentation to the class;
- Demonstration of an understanding of selected principles and practices pertaining to the topic of the course;
- Demonstration of strategic and critical thinking about the topic of the course as applied to a specific audience, purpose and situation at an advanced level.
- Knowledge of intercultural communication strategies and practices.
