Metropolitan State University's School of Communication, Writing, and the Arts offers innovative undergraduate and graduate degrees focused on creating messages and making knowledge. Our faculty come from a variety of disciplines that share a significant theme—communication.

Whether expressed through speech, writing, or art, and whether on paper, canvas, or a web page, we believe that communication connects, builds, and maintains human culture and society. Our courses and programs help students develop their creativity, critical thinking, facility with research and technology, as well as their ability to speak, write, create and perform for a variety of audiences in both professional and community settings.
