We are once again pleased to celebrate the new graduates of Metro State's bachelor's, master's, and doctoral programs at this 113th Commencement exercise in person at the Minneapolis Convention Center.
Commencement has been scheduled in two separate times to accommodate the graduates, their families, and the hosting facility.
The morning exercises, starting at 10:30 a.m., recognize the College of Individualized Studies, College of Liberal Arts, College of Nursing and Health Sciences, College of Sciences, and the School of Urban Education. Afternoon exercises, starting at 2:30 p.m., recognize the College of Community Studies and Public Affairs and the College of Management.
Graduating students, please arrive an hour early. Auditorium doors will open at 9:45 a.m. and 1:45 p.m. for those with wristbands.
Student Speakers will include Marcelus Ifonlaja and Makiesha Johnson, members of the Metro State University Student Association Board; Brenna N. Kolstad, President's Outstanding Student Recipient, College of Liberal Arts; and Farris A. Hassan, President's Outstanding Student Recipient, College of Management.
Other commencement participants include:
- Virginia "Ginny" Arthur, Metro State University president
- Cindy Harley, president of the Inter-Faculty Organization
- Amy Gort, provost and executive vice president for Academic Affairs
- Kristine Hansen, Alumni Relations director
- Cheryl Tefer, Minnesota State Board of Trustees
