Venue update: Originally scheduled to be held in the Library, this event has been relocated to the first floor of the Student Center, located at 690 East Seventh Street, adjacent to the parking ramp.
The Anti-Racism Coalition and the Office of Equity and Inclusion invite the Metro State University community—students, staff, faculty, and neighbors—to come together and reflect on the murder of George Floyd two years ago. George Floyd's murder was a pivotal moment in history, a moment in which calls for racial justice were heard across the world. Many have been profoundly affected by those fateful 8 minutes and the waves of grief and anger that gripped our country and our local community. This event will include presentations by university leaders, announcements for upcoming events, pledges, and reflection.
Please join us at the Metro State University's Saint Paul campus from 11 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. in the Student Center. Lunch will be provided. RSVP if you are planning to attend. The presentation will also be available via Zoom for anyone unable to participate in person.
