Hear from Author George Anders as he talks about his latest book, “You Can Do Anything: The Surprising Power of a ‘Useless’ Liberal Arts Education.” At this talk, attendees will hear about how you can work with employers to create jobs that don't exist yet and to translate your achievements into stories that employers love. The tentative event schedule is as follows:

  • 8:30 to 9 a.m.: Check in and networking
  • 9 to 9:45 a.m.: George Anders, keynote
  • 9:45 to 10:15 a.m.: Employer panel discussion

“Employers want to hire college graduates who write well, speak clearly, work effectively in teams and know how to analyze complex problems,” Anders writes in his book. Anders is also senior editor-at-large at LinkedIn and author of the New York Times Bestseller, "Perfect Enough."

Students and alumni can register for this event on Handshake. Faculty, staff and guests can register on Eventbrite. This event is co-sponsored by Metropolitan State University's College of Liberal Arts, which offers bachelor degrees in the social sciences, humanities, communications and the arts, and the master of liberal studies.
