We’re excited that First Saturday Science is returning to in-person activities, after offering only virtual content for the past two years!
Kids of all ages are invited to explore science with fun laboratory experiments and hands-on activities! This month is all about the hydrosphere: the total amount of water on Earth, which includes water that is on the surface of the planet, underground, and in the air.
Bring the little scientists in your life to learn how to make it rain indoors (whoa!), discover how oceans are the world’s largest carbon sink (huh?!), find out about rising sea levels (oh no!), and more. First Saturday Science programming is always free and open to the public. Ideal for youth ages 6–12.
First Saturday Science is co-sponsored by Metro State University's College of Sciences and Institute for Community Engagement and Scholarship. To join the First Saturday Science monthly email list, contact Chemistry Lab Specialist Beth Hinds at elizabeth.hinds@metrostate.edu.
A video of our activity on rising sea levels will be available on the Institute's YouTube channel at https://www.youtube.com/c/MetroStateICES
