Join us for a free one hour continuing education unit (CEU) for Registered Nurses (RN) followed by information sessions for Metropolitan State University’s Family Nurse Practitioner – Doctor of Nursing Practice (FNP-DNP) and RN to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (RN-BSN) programs at 56 Brewery. The CEU topic is being presented by Dr. Ruth Staus, faculty in the Department of Nursing, ‘What if everything we think we know about obesity is wrong?’. This presentation uses current cutting edge evidence, from multiple disciplines including genetics, epigenetics, sociology, public health, and political science, that questions our current beliefs about obesity as a disease that can be cured by eating less and exercising more. Following the CEU you have an opportunity to meet faculty and learn more about the FNP-DNP program and/or RN-BSN program.

This event will be held at 56 Brewery, 3055 NE Columbia Ave Suite 102, Minneapolis, MN 55418 on Monday November 12th, 1-3pm.

We hope to see you there! Please RSVP to the DNP Program Coordinator, Dr. Michelle Ullery at michelle.ullery@metrostate.edu
