Metropolitan State University invites the community to celebrate their love of poetry, prose and the arts at the Haute Dish’s 6th annual Spring Reading event. Work published in the Haute Dish, the university’s arts and literature magazine, will share their work with an audience at Open Book. Students whose work has been featured in the publication during the last five years are encouraged to sign up to read or present their poetry, prose, illustrations and photographs by emailing the Haute Dish. A proxy reader may be elected if requested by the author.
Open Book, located in Minneapolis, is a nonprofit organization that was founded by The Loft Literary Center, Milkweed Editions and Minnesota Center for Book Arts. According to Open Book, since its opening in 2000, it has remained “dedicated to fostering a vibrant book community and ongoing artistic collaboration, and providing a home for the literary arts.”
This event is free and open to the public. Refreshments will be provided. The lobby cafe will be open for wine, beer and food also.
