A presentation on the Karen people and culture.

The Karen are an indigenous people near the Thailand-Burma border region in Southeast Asia and are one of the many ethnic groups in Burma (or Myanmar). Karen refugees fled oppression from the Burmese government and began arriving in Minnesota in the early 2000s,]Today more than 10,000 people of Karen descent live in Minnesota. Saint Paul is home to the largest Karen community in the U.S.
