Community members are invited to attend the upcoming MAPL Election Decompression event, which will focus on exploring how campaigns are being organized in Minnesota, as well as how volunteers can get involved. With Minnesota's presidential primary quickly approaching in March 2020, volunteers are organizing across the state to support presidential campaigns. This event will allow attendees to learn about these campaigns, as well as how to get involved. The event itinerary is as follows:

  • 6:30: Reception
  • 7:00: Forum
  • 8:30: Conclusion

The event moderator will be Tom Weber, who is a Minnesota author and former reporter with Minnesota Public Radio (MPR) News. The Chicago native joined the MPR in January 2008 as a general assignment and education reporter, and from 2012 to 2018 Weber hosted a weekday news talk show The Daily Circuit. The event will also feature Minnesota Representatives from the U.S. Presidential Campaigns as panelists.

Attendees who park in the Metropolitan State parking ramp on Maria Street will be provided with a parking voucher. To RSVP, or for more information, check out the MAPL Decompression Event on Engage, or contact Matt Musel. The Advocacy and Political Leadership Service (APLS) Club is hosting the annual Election Decompression event for the Masters of Advocacy and Political Leadership (MAPL) program.
