Nursing 270 Health Promotion and the Role of the Professional Nurse; Campus Wellness Fair at New Main, Great Hall. This year’s Wellness Fair topics utilize the teaching/learning principles from Nursing 270 class to share knowledge gained specific to health promotion. Topics include:

  • BP/Pulse Screening
  • Activity/Exercise
  • Self-Care/Stress Reduction
  • Ergonomics

All university safety precautions will be implemented with the addition of nursing students wearing face shields/goggles and gloves while measuring BP/Pulse. Significant planning has gone into ensuring the safety of our campus community including: cleaning procedures, use of PPE by nursing students, flow of participant traffic, and physical distancing precautions.

  • Apply credible, evidence-based sources of information to guide safe, preventative care.
  • Provide safe, holistic client-centered nursing care in promoting health across the lifespan.
