Open Auditions for Fall Theater Production

Theatre Underground and Metro State Theater invite you to audition for their upcoming fall production of (this is) the play, a wildly comedic exploration of the artistic process. Auditions will be held at the Whitney Fine Arts Theater on the Minneapolis College campus, 1424 Yale Pl, Minneapolis, Minnesota.

Audition Times:

• Thursday, August 29, 6–8:30 p.m.
• Friday, August 30, 6–8:30 p.m.
• Saturday, August 31, 12–3 p.m.

Those interested are encouraged to arrive as close to the start time as possible. Open to Metro State students, faculty, and staff.

(this is) the play is a meta-theatrical experiment blending absurdist farce and surrealistic romp. It explores the chaotic journey of actors grappling with creativity, self-doubt, and the blurred lines between reality and performance.

No preparation is necessary for the auditions, as all materials will be provided on-site. The production team seeks a diverse cast of actors ready to dive into this unique and challenging piece. This is a fantastic opportunity for actors to be part of a production that pushes the boundaries of traditional theatre and explores the depths of the creative process. Performance dates for (this is) the play are scheduled from October 17 to October 26.
